COLÁISTE Eoin’s Lip Sync Show 2025 came to a resounding finale on Monday night, 17 November in a three-night run.

The first two shows took place on Wednesday and Thursday the previous week in the Hacketstown secondary school, but the final show was postponed due to the dangerous effects of Storm Claudia.

Principal Alan Costello praised the students and staff for their dedication and enthusiasm, describing Lip Sync 2025 as “a true reflection of the joy, inclusion, and sense of community that makes Coláiste Eoin so special.” The annual event is a whole-school initiative and gives every student the opportunity to take part, either on stage, behind the scenes or supporting production and media.

Local primary schools were invited to attend a special rehearsal performance free of charge, so they could see the creativity and fun that awaits them at Coláiste Eoin.

The school said they are grateful to teacher Nessa O’Meara for directing the show, and the mother and daughter duo Deirdre and Caoimhe Byrne for their creativity, positivity and tireless enthusiasm in bringing this event to life. Mr Connolly and Ciarán Fitzgerald were also praised for their exceptional work on music and lighting.

On the second performance, a special presentation was made to teacher Ms Hodnett by Leaving Certificate student Ella Mulvanny, on behalf of her year group.

The school community marked this occasion with great affection and sadness as Ms Hodnett prepares to retire, acknowledging her many years of dedication, kindness and commitment to the students.
