EILEEN O'Leary from Montgomery Street, Carlow, celebrated her 100th birthday surrounded by family, neighbours and local dignitaries.
The centenarian was joined by Cynthia Ní Mhurchú MEP and Carlow mayor Paul Doogue for the special occasion, which brought together those closest to her for the milestone celebration.
The gathering on Montgomery Street marked a momentous day for Ms O'Leary, who has been a long-standing member of the Carlow community.
