INDIE rock outfit This Violet Ocean release their highly anticipated debut single t, an energetic and emotionally-charged track that introduces the group’s catchy sound and lyrical depth.
With melodic guitar riffs, driving percussion, and sharp, witty vocals, the single blends classic, nostalgic 80s indie rock vibes with a fresh, atmospheric edge. Lyrically it’s both deeply personal and universally relatable.
Formed in Carlow in 2024, This Violet Ocean is Justin Kelly and Karen O’Neill. Their music is introspective yet anthemic.
“Our influences range from Radiohead and Nick Cave to The Primitives and The Cardigans. We write big songs with catchy hooks and honest lyrics,” Justin told came from a place of frustration and anger at the breakdown of a relationship, that feeling when you know you can’t keep living the same way and something inside you finally shifts. That moment when you say enough is enough and you’ve found the strength to move on.”
