Big Mama’s Door to play Pembroke on Sunday

BIG Mama’s Door, a rhythm and blues band, will play at Pembroke Club d’Art, a privately-run venue owned by Bernard Jennings, a long-time supporter of live music in Carlow.
Front woman Fiona McElroy is a local from Wolfhill, whose mother ran Peggy’s Place on Dublin Street, Carlow for many years.
Fiona, with guitarist Andy Knight, bassist Franca Shaw, saxophonist Martin Dewhirst, pianist Stephen Walsh and drummer Brad Shaw will serve up a truly exceptional blend of R’n’B fused with a little jazz and a whole lot of soul.
They play in the spirit of classic R’n’B while infused with fun and joy and make every show a unique and unforgettable experience.
