Bench warrant issued for arrest of shoe thief

A LOCAL man was summoned to Carlow District Court last week in relation to the theft of three pairs of shoes. Myles Doran, Brownshill Wood, Carlow was summoned to court for the theft of three pairs of shoes, worth €160, from Shu 4 U on Tullow Street, Carlow on 19 May this year.

His solicitor Chris Hogan told the court that Mr Doran (36) was unable to attend court that day and that he pleaded guilty on his client’s behalf.

Judge Geraldine Carthy heard that Mr Doran had 20 previous convictions, including for theft and criminal damage, before she issued a bench warrant for his arrest.
