Arson attack on site of community hub in Carlow 

Carlow gardai are investigating an incident whereby a Teleporter machine and some building material were deliberately set alight and damaged by fire in the Tullow Road area just after 5.30pm yesterday evening, 15th October. · The incident occurred on a building site on the Tullow Road where a new Community Hub is under construction. · Two males, both of whom were dressed in dark clothing, were observed entering the site at this time before intentionally setting the teleporter alight – this is a high value piece of machinery. · They then set some insulating material alight within the site before fleeing the scene. · Carlow Fire Service quickly brought the fire under control. There were no injuries as a result of the incident. · Gardai are treating the fire as a deliberate act of criminal intent and are appealing for any information in relation to the incident by way of eye witnesses, CCTV, dashcam footage, to contact them on 059 9136620 or indeed to email any information to Carlow Garda Station to KC.Carlow.CE@garda.ie.
