RETIRED school principal and local historian Christopher McQuinn is the guest speaker at Carlow Historical and Archaeological Society’s (CHAS) next public talk.

CARLOW Historical and Archaeological Society is hosting a lecture about St Brigid and her fascinating life this week on Wednesday 16 April in the Seven Oaks Hotel, Carlow.

The next CHAS lecture is by Dr Elizabeth Dawson from Carlow College, scheduled for 16 April at 8pm in the Seven Oaks Hotel

Economic and social historian Andy Bielenberg, originally from near Tullow, will give this month’s talk

The lecture will take place at 8pm on Wednesday 16 October in the Seven Oaks Hotel, Carlow

CARLOW Historical and Archaeological Society will host the lecture ‘Farming in Ireland before the Norman Invasion’ presented by Dr Fergus Kelly on Wednesday 18 September at 8pm in Lawlor’s of Rathvilly.
