The annual Castlecomer Wellie Race has once again been hailed a great success.
Attracting both young and experienced runners and walkers from all strands of life, the annual event never seems to disappoint by getting the New Year off to a flying start.
Apart from the hundreds of participants, floats depicting all aspects of daily, community and political life added a colourful element to the day.
Photographer Alf Harvey was on hand to capture the event for The Nationalist.
