PEOPLE in Bagenalstown took the opportunity to blow away the Christmas cobwebs on St Stephen’s Day to take on their annual turkey trot in aid of the Carlow/Kilkenny Homecare Team.

The annual run/walk once again attracted a great crowd, with participants setting of on the 6km route, heading out the Fenagh Road from Bagenalstown, turning off towards Dunleckney, then back into the town before finishing up alongside the River Barrow, where they started from.

The turkey trot is organised every year by Margi Holligan to raise funds for the very worthy cause of Carlow/Kilkenny Homecare Team.

Once again, this year’s event saw everyone digging deep to raise a terrific €1,320 for Carlow/Kilkenny Homecare. The organisers would like to thank everyone who participated and helped out on the day and also all those who gave so generously.
