Crowds soak up the magic atmosphere at Lisnavagh market

There was a wonderful selection of stalls at the market

AT the annual Christmas market at Lisnavagh House, Rathvilly visitors were able to soak up the magic of the festive season on the beautiful grounds and enjoy the vast array of stalls selling local goods and produce.

The market at Lisnavagh is a staple of the Christmas season in Carlow and has been running for over a decade, offering local producers and vendors the opportunity to showcase their goods in the lead-up to the big day.

Items on sale at the market included the award-winning cheese made by Tom Burgess of Coolattin Cheddar, located just outside Tullow, handcrafted knitwear made by Simone Wagner of Kosy and handmade wooden boards made by the team at Bunbury Boards.

Visitors were treated to fresh, homemade food and drinks, served by the team from Lisnavagh café, and could also decompress in the newly built sauna situated beside the woodland lake. There were also short talks about the history of Lisnavagh and the McClintock Bunbury family in the library.
