JT MAGEN, an Irish-owned construction firm headquartered in New York city, recently awarded $5,000 scholarships to six exceptional students at South East Technological University (SETU) in recognition of their academic achievements, dedication and potential within the construction industry.

The company plans to continue offering these scholarships annually due to the success of the programme and the exceptional quality of candidates.

The scholarships were presented to students specialising in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering and architecture. JT Magen aims to support the next generation of construction talent and bolster career opportunities for students in the southeast region by fostering industry connections and hands-on experience through the scholarship programme.

“We are proud to contribute to the education of such outstanding students at SETU, as their skills and enthusiasm reflect the quality of talent that will drive the construction industry forward,” said Pete Moran, spokesperson for JT Magen.

“Our company was founded by an Irishman and giving back to the community is close to our hearts. We look forward to continuing this programme, not only to support these students but to inspire future generations as well.” As a leading construction firm with roots in Ireland and a presence in key markets across America, JT Magen recognises the importance of industry-academic partnerships.

JT Magen encourages students interested in the construction industry to apply for next year’s scholarship programme, which will continue to emphasise academic achievement, leadership potential and a passion for construction.
