Carlow musicians return in Live and Local gig 

ON Saturday 1 November, as part of Samhain Festival 25, VISUAL will play host to Carlow Live and Local fourth edition.

The night promises to be packed with great music from Manden Express who fuse West African music with jazz and rock influences; accomplished solo songwriter Klara McDonnell; Irish-Indian harp and guitar duo Indeceltic and melodic rock band Star Comedy Democrats.

Live and Local is an initiative of Carlow County Council Arts Service and grew from the national Live and Local Performance Scheme that local authorities managed during the pandemic. 2025 sees the return of Carlow Live and Local, with the initiative being managed again through the Carlow Arts Office.
