AN artist collaboration event was held in Forever Young arts studio, Carlow recently.
The occasion brought together the creative talents of Rathgall Painters Guild and The Banshees writing group, with both groups displaying their wonderful work under the theme ‘What’s left behind’.

The event, which was part of a Creative Ireland initiative and proved a very enjoyable and interesting project for all involved, concluded with this great night to view the fruits of their labour.
Both groups have worked together over the past year to create art for the senses under the event’s theme.
Along with a very enjoyable night featuring the arts exhibition and spoken word, food and refreshments were served, with guests treated to some delicious treats from Natalie Cassells of The Good Life Cookery School, Rathvilly.

The Banshees is a monthly writing group which participates in art festivals and events throughout Kilkenny and Carlow.
The Rathgall Painters Guild, based in Ballyconnell, meets weekly and its members are renowned for their wonderful talents and flair.
This was certainly evident on the night, with some very impressive art work on display.

The Rathgall Painters are under the direction of well-known artist Jacinta Crowley Long and exhibit at many different outlets in the locality – be sure to look out for them.
Forever Young Arts is based at 5 Burrin Street, Carlow and offers a creative space for creative people.

It is open from Wednesday to Saturday and runs arts and craft classes throughout the winter, as well as being a popular tattoo and piercing shop.
The Good Life Cookery School run by Natalie caters for events and holds cookery evenings and culinary parties for special occasions throughout the year.
