BARROW Valley Art group recently presented a cheque for €1,200 to Co Carlow Hospice, following their annual art exhibition in Cobden Hall at St Patrick’s College last year.

Chairperson of Barrow Valley Art Group Blaithín Cooney, along with fellow group member Maura McNally, presented the cheque to mayor of Carlow and County Carlow Hospice chairperson cllr Paul Doogue, hospice secretary Seamus O’Donoghue and hospice committee members Helen O’Dwyer and Anne McMahon.

Barrow Valley Art Group was one of the first art groups of its kind in Ireland when it was formed 52 years ago.

Barrow Valley Art Group would like to express its gratitude to all those who supported the event and also to Carlow College for the use of the beautiful venue.
