Tullow Kayak Club invites adults to try kayaking at free open day this Saturday

TULLOW Kayak Club invites adults to a free open day on 16 May to officially launch its new EZ Dock Launch System, which aims to make kayaking more accessible to people in the community. There will be demonstrations of the system, as well as opportunities for members of the public to take to the water and try their hand at kayaking under the guidance of experienced club members.

The EZ Dock system provides a stable and easy way to enter and exit the water ‒ a part of kayaking that older adults, people with physical challenges and beginners can sometimes find difficult and which can be a barrier to participation.

The state-of-the-art system, which only one other club in the country possesses, will, hopefully, allow more people to enjoy the sport.

The event runs from 1-4pm on 16 May. All attendees need to bring is a wetsuit or swimwear, with the club providing all other equipment.
