MAYOR of Carlow Municipal District Paul Doogue is hosting an evening to celebrate the foundation of Carlow Sugar Factory 100 years ago in 1926. It will be a great opportunity to hear its history, its legacy and impact on Carlow town, county and the surrounding areas from people who worked in there.
The talk will be presented by John O’Donovan, former technical manager, and will also include a question-and-answer session, open to the floor.
The event will take place tomorrow (Wednesday) in the Seven Oaks Hotel at 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.
