All welcome to come along this Saturday night
Grange night out will raise funds for Roxanne

Roxanne's fundraiser appeal

THE CALL to support a six-year-old girl in her goal to secure the life-changing treatment she needs in the USA has been answered by the community of Grange.

Daughter of Máirín Nolan and Declan Kelly, Roxanne Kelly was born with a rare condition called Arthrogryposis, which severely impacts her physical movement in all four limbs, resulting in her being unable to sit up, stand or feed herself. Further complications have been discovered in recent months, which have hastened the need for Roxanne’s immediate treatment in a specialised hospital in Florida.

A fundraising campaign has been set to raise the €180,000 needed for Roxanne’s treatment, with individuals, community groups and local businesses right across the county getting on board.

Amazingly, over €100,000 has now been raised on Roxanne’s GoFundMe page, but a final push is needed to ensure that Roxanne gets the specialised treatment and the quality of life she deserves.

Roxanne’s mum Máirín is from Grange originally, her parents Frank and Margaret and extended family are very well known and popular members of the local community, so the people of Grange were very keen to help little Roxanne out. A fundraising night will take place in Walshes of Killerig on Saturday 19 October starting at 8.30pm. Admission is €5, with all proceeds going to Roxanne’s fundraising campaign.

It promises to be a great night with an auction and raffle, and lots of terrific door prizes up for grabs.

Donations for the raffle prizes and auction would be very much appreciated so contact Mary on 086 0670018 if you can donate.

If you can’t attend but would like to support, tickets are available from Walshes of Killerig.
