Drama group hosts annual table quiz
Fundraising quiz hosted by Bunclody Kilmyshall Drama Group: Timmy Connaughton, Kieran Tyrell and Elaine Jordan from their upcoming production of 'The Beacon'
BUNCLODY Kilmyshall Drama Group will host its annual fundraising table quiz with quizmaster Tommy Murphy on Friday 26 January in Redmond’s Loft, Bunclody.
Tommy’s quizzes are famous for their variety and ingenuity, with picture, audio and cryptic rounds as well as the usual sport and general knowledge. Finger food will be served and plenty of raffle prizes are up for grabs. The cost is €40 for a table of four, registration is at 8.30pm and the first question will be posed at 9pm.
The annual table quiz always heralds the first performances of the drama group’s play for the amateur festival circuit and this year is no different. The quiz is a fundraiser to help get the group’s production of by Nancy Harris on the road.
Award-winning director Kieran Tyrrell is hard at work with the cast and crew on what is shaping up to be a great production. The impressive cast includes Elaine Jordan, Pádraig D’Arcy, Timmy Connaughton, Lisa Redmond and Keith McLoughlin.
Details of local performances will be released soon. In the meantime, chairman Rory Kinsella encourages all supporters of the group and local quiz buffs to join them on Friday 24 January.
