A cookery demonstration by Darina Allen and Rachel Allen in aid of Cuan Mhuire will take place next month.

The event at the Clanard Court Hotel will be held on 7 November at 7.30pm.

It promises to be a great evening as they demonstrate their cooking prowess live on stage with some authentic Irish dishes!

All proceeds from this event will be donated to Cuan Mhuire CLG, supporting their mission to provide essential treatment and recovery services for individuals battling drug, alcohol and gambling addictions.

Cuan Mhuire is Ireland’s largest voluntary provider of addiction treatment services and residential rehabilitation. Its main objective is the rehabilitation of persons suffering from alcohol, drug and gambling addictions.

Nicola Kelly, Person in Charge, Cuan Mhuire, Athy said: “We are excited to announce our upcoming fundraising event to support the refurbishment of our drug treatment unit. With your help, we can create a more comfortable, supportive environment for those on their journey to recovery.

“Every contribution, big or small, will make a real difference in the lives of individuals seeking to overcome addiction. Please join us in building a brighter, healthier future for our community. Thank you for your continued support!”

The Cuan Mhuire Programme is based on the philosophy of total abstinence and strives to restore the confidence, self-respect and sense of responsibility of all individuals. Since its formation in 1966 by Sr Consilio, Cuan Mhuire has treated approximately 100,000 people. The work extends beyond treatment; we focus on education, prevention, and ongoing support to ensure lasting recovery. The demand for services continues to grow, and with it, the need for additional resources.

All donations from fundraiser will go directly toward the refurbishment of Our Lady’s Drug Unit. These funds will help enhance the environment where Residents receive critical care, supporting necessary upgrades to equipment, infrastructure, and comfort spaces.
