Celebrate St Brigid's Day with Imbolc Festival in Bunclody
Imbolc Festival 2026, Bunclody
Despite recent flooding in Bunclody, ARTBANK, a community art centre initiative, will host its annual IMBOLC Celtic Winter Festival of Light tomorrow Sunday, 1 February, in honour of the traditional first weekend of spring.
The event beginning at 7pm will launch three new exhibitions: 'RESILIENCE’, a thought-provoking solo exhibition by Ann Fogarty, the ARTBANK Group Exhibition, bringing together familiar ArtBankers alongside new artists, celebrating the return of spring, and ‘Home is Where the Heart Is’, artworks and written pieces celebrating diversity within our community. The project is courtesy of Bunclody Library, Adult LIteracy for Life, Fighting Words Ireland, WWETB, Wexford Local Development and Wexford County Council: Facilitators Fernanda Ferrari and Caroline Busher.
There will be an open mic fundraiser following the launch, featuring Niall Toner, Kerb Kickers, Dakota, Rachel Meadows, John Mullins, Kate McMeekin, Canon Trevor Sargeant, Jimmy Revets, Lucy Gahan, Alan Robinson, John Martin & John Renwick. All are welcome to the community-focused evening of live voices, storytelling, music and more.
Director John Renwick said "Our community and cultural art space thrives because of you, so please do come along, take part and celebrate with us."
