There was late drama in Killarney as David Imiren grabbed an injury time winning goal as ten-man CK United notched their second win of the new FAI National League season.
Tom O'Connor's team had made dream start when they 2-0 up after ten minutes but in action packed game, they played most of the second half with ten men after the sending off of captain Ethan Boyle.
The deadlock was broken after just six minutes when Dean Kelly's inswinging corner from the left was met by the towering Mamadou Doumbia, and he planted a header into the bottom corner of the home team's net.
The visitors wasted little time in doubling their advantage. Kelly's effort from the left was saved, but left-back Daniel McGrath reacted quickest to the rebound, cut inside and fired home.
Killarney pulled a goal back on 32 minutes when a cross from the left found Kennedy Amechi at the back post and he curled a fine finish into the top corner.
The game took another twist at the start of the second half when when Ethan Boyle was dismissed after picking up a second yellow card for persistent fouling.
Just minutes later, Killarney drew level when Trpimir Vrijcak found the net from the right-hand side to leave the sides all square.
Despite their numerical advantage, Killarney couldn't take the lead and going into the final minutes, it was CK who were pushing for a winner, and they got their reward. Feo Adeogun delivered a cross into the penalty area and Imiren got on the end of it, sliding the ball into the bottom corner to spark wild celebrations among the travelling support.
The dramatic victory gives O'Connor's men six points from six and preserves their perfect start to the campaign.
Next up for CK is the visit of Waterford side Villa FC to SETU Carlow Sports Campus next Saturday.
