Aoife Kelly has joined the growing Carlow contingent at Wexford FC after signing on for the Ferrycarrig Park outfit ahead of the 2025 season.

The 18-year-old marked herself out as one of the top young talents in the country during two seasons playing with Shamrock Rovers, having previously made her senior debut with Shelbourne.

A previous FAI U17 Player of the Year, Kelly was nominated for the U19 award last year and will link up with the international squad again shortly for a behind closed doors game between an Ireland Women’s Development Group in front of senior head coach Carla Rowe.

The sixth year Presentation College student joins Kylie Murphy and Lauren Dwyer in the Wexford squad and Sean Byrne seems to assembling a strong squad that will challenge for silverware. Dwyer is joined in returning to the club by the likes of Rianna Jarrett, Ellen Molloy and Lauren Kelly.

Wexford begin their Premier Division season away to champions Athlone Town on Saturday 8 March.
