Fairyhouse hosts its latest card of the season on Saturday afternoon with a competitive seven-race offering for punters heading to the track.
The card kicks off at 12.28pm with a two-mile and one furlong handicap chase before the action comes to a close at 3.57pm as eight runners take on the two-mile bumper.

The opening contest of the weekend is off at 12.28 as a field of 11 take on the two-mile and one furlong handicap chase for five-year-old’s and upwards. Trainer Gavin Cromwell could get the card off to a good start for himself with Money Heist, a good third of 10 in a Down Royal handicap just four days ago and could go well once again turned out very quickly with both of his wins last season coming over this trip.
Race two on the card (1.03) is a three-mile and two furlong handicap chase, again for horses aged five and over. Wine An Dine for the powerful yard of Gordon Elliott looks the way to go here, second of nine in a course handicap nine days ago and is up in trip here with the chance to go one better and shed his maiden tag. Of his rivals, Dorans Law for the Philip Rothwell team arrives off an eye-catching second at Leopardstown last time out and is a big player again.
Closutton maestro Willie Mullins holds all the cards in the Grade 3 Solerina Mares Novice Hurdle, race three on the Fairyhouse card, with a field of eight set for the off at 1.38. Mullins has the fantastically-bred Aurora Vega entered here, related to the brilliant mare Quevega, that was a winner of a mares’ hurdle at this track 24 days ago to dispel a blip in form. However, stablemate Fancy Girl could be the one to side with from the Mullins yard, firmly back on track after 20 months off with a rousing win at Cork six weeks ago so just shades the vote, with another stablemate in Baby Kate expected to be on the premises as well.
A two-mile maiden hurdle marks race four on the card (2.13) and a whopping field of 21 look set to line up at the start. Kawaboomga, another Mullins runner, may well be the one to focus on here after a very good second on National Hunt debut at Leopardstown 30 days ago, is the mount of top jockey Paul Townend and shaped very well when chasing home the exciting Kopek Des Bordes on what was his debut for the yard and his first run in ten months.
O’Bon Pardon looks the one to beat in the two and a half mile maiden hurdle, which is race four on the Fairyhouse card (2.48) off the back of an excellent fourth in a Naas novice hurdle when last seen and had 5lb claiming jockey Conor Stone-Walsh on board, while the penultimate race of the day (3.23) can go the way of Chef’s Kiss, running off the same mark as when an excellent third at Limerick last time out and this drop in trip should suit the Philip Rothwell runner.
Finally, the card comes to a close with the bumper (3.58), held over two miles and with eight horses set to give it a go. Theflyingking for trainer Gordon Elliott looks the one to beat in the finale, second of 14 in a bumper at Down Royal 30 days ago and is very much open to improvement so should take all the beating in the card-closer.
