Trainer Joseph O’Brien continued his excellent start to the Flat season by landing a double on the card at Gowran Park on Wednesday.
O’Brien landed the first two races of the meeting, which also saw Juddmonte’s retained rider Colin Keane hit with a seven-day ban for failing to achieve the best possible placing aboard Sindagan in the second race.

Up first on the card was a mile auction maiden contest (4.48) and it was the first winner of the day for O’Brien with Perisher (11-8F) a winner by a head from stablemate Alphonsus Liguouri to bag a one-two for the trainer in the opener.
Go Just Do It bagged the seven furlong maiden in race two (5.18) to pick up the second O’Brien victory with 14-1 shot Solana Beach nabbing second in the closing stages in the race which saw the aforementioned Keane, riding Sindagan, hit with his ban having seemed to ease down in the closing stages.
Eleven runners went to the stalls for ace three on the day (5.48) and this one was a win for the bookies as Rion Rubette landed odds of 16-1 in the seven furlong fillies handicap, beating 2/1 favourite Greydreambeliever by half a length for trainer Michael Butler.
City Of Memphis got the job done in race four (6.18) for trainer Paddy Twomey and jockey Billy Lee, winning by a length and three quarters having hit the front in the final two furlongs and never relinquishing his advantage.
Chirac was another winning favourite on the card for the John James Feane yard when successful in the seven furlong handicap (6.48) at odds of 9-4, seeing off Imnotleavingyou by a comfortable two and three quarter lengths, while Dream Legend was a further half a length behind in third.
