Gowran Park hosts its Red Mills Chase card on Saturday, with the Grade 2 feature part of a seven-race card at the track this weekend.
Racing gets underway at 1.20pm with a maiden hurdle over two miles, before the action comes to a close at 4.50pm with the bumper and a field of 14 are set to take it on.

Race one on the card sees a big field of 19 head to the start for the maiden hurdle contest (1.20). Blue Lemons boasts useful form for previous trainer Richard Hannon on the level and will be hard to beat if taking to this discipline, now in the very expert hands of Willie Mullins. Kool One looks the obvious danger on form, whilst Hudson can also make his presence felt.
The second race on Gowran’s card is the Grade 3 Red Mills Trial Hurdle over two miles (1.55). The manner in which Kitzbuhel accounted for a Graded performer at Punchestown on debut for new connections suggests he's very talented and with Sir Gerhard hard to predict these days, he should go in again and bring up an early double for trainer Mullins.
A big field of 23 runners will head to the start for the two mile and three handicap hurdle, up next on the card at 2.30. Gavin Cromwell has a trio of interesting runners and the most appealing could be Crescent Moon who was only raised 4lb for her eye-catching second last month and could come out on top ahead of stablemate Bridie's Beau, who remains unexposed despite a 15lb hike for his latest win.
The Grade 2 Red Mills chase marks race four on the day (3.05), with a cool €27,000 heading the way of the winner but a disappointing field of just three horses will line up. Having brought up a hurdles/chase hat-trick at Clonmel in November, Saint Sam lost little in defeat when runner-up back over hurdles at Punchestown 46 days ago. He can quickly resume winning ways, with his stablemate Classic Getaway selected to provide the chief threat as Mullins should bag a one-two here.
A beginners chase over two and a half miles is up next at 3.42. Harry Des Ongrais, trained by Henry De Bromhead, shaped with plenty of encouragement when fifth on his chase debut over an inadequate trip at Fairyhouse, an effort that was all the more creditable considering that it was his first outing on the back of a 21-month absence. He shades preference ahead of Blizzard of Oz from the Mullins yard.
The penultimate race on Saturday at Gowran is another two-and-a-half mile contest, with 13 runners tackling the handicap chase (4.15). Battle Of Ridgeway gets the vote to build on an encouraging comeback run at Fairyhouse last month. His stablemate Solomon Lane, from the Martin Hassett yard, was ahead of him in third at Fairyhouse and should go well again.
Finally, the card comes to a close at 4.50pm with the bumper over two miles and a furlong. The fact that Introversio went off at 1/2 on debut suggests she's well regarded by the Willie Mullins team and she's given another chance. Gordon Elliott has won this race three times since 2019 and his point recruit Kenisa Sport rates an obvious danger.
