Mount Leinster Rangers stars visit Borris NS
Pupils from Borris NS looking to put the tough questions to Paul and Richard Coady, Dean Grennan and Chris Nolan members of the Mount Leinster Rangers team when they brought the Senior County Hurling Trophy to Borris NS
Mount Leinster Rangers stars Paul Coady, Richard Coady, Dean Grennan and county final hat-trick hero Chris Nolan paid a special visit to Borris National School today, bringing the Willie O'Connor Cup with them.
The quartet were warmly welcomed by pupils and staff as they showed off the coveted trophy following Rangers' hard-fought victory over great rivals St Mullins in last month's JJ Kavanagh & Sons Senior Hurling Final.
The visit proved a memorable occasion for the school's many Rangers supporters, who relished the opportunity to meet their local heroes and get a close-up look at the silverware.
There was no shortage of questions from the floor as the pupils quizzed the players about the county final triumph, life as inter-county and club hurlers, and the celebrations that followed their latest championship success.
The players were happy to share stories from their hurling journeys and offered words of encouragement to the young students, many of whom dream of one day representing Mount Leinster Rangers themselves.
