Ten rounds of ten questions tested the knowledge and quick thinking of all participating teams at the recent U14 quiz final held in Ballon hall. Categories included geography, sports, picture questions, history and politics, children's literature, and of course Community Games knowledge.

After an intense evening of competition, Ballon/Rathoe emerged victorious, but only after a nail-biting battle with Graiguecullen. Both teams were evenly matched on the final tally, forcing the contest into tie-break questions to determine the ultimate winner. Both teams will now progress to represent Carlow at the National quiz finals later in the year.

Burrin's U14 quiz team were Keegan Farrell, Luke Kenny, Louis Whelan, Cillian Keogh, Molly Horgan and Tori Mc Donnell.

The event showcased the dedication and preparation of all teams, making for an exciting and memorable competition. A special thanks goes to quizmaster Willie Byrne, whose expert hosting kept proceedings running smoothly, as well as to the correctors and the Community Games committee for their hard work in organising a fantastic event.
