WWI remembrance ceremony in Leighlinbridge today

COUNTY Carlow Military Museum has announced details of this year’s World War I remembrance and wreath-laying ceremony, which will take place on Monday 11 November starting at 11am at the Great War Memorial Arch in Leighlinbridge.
Attendees will include historian Martin Nevin, Paul Maguire, County Carlow Military Museum, Robin Havey, Ireland branch of the Royal British Legion, John Kelly, Post 29 UN Veterans’ Association, Fr Patrick Hennessy, Rev Paul Fitzpatrick and veterans of the 10th Infantry Battalion Association.
A number of wreaths will be laid. All who are interested are warmly welcome to attend, especially those whose relatives are among the 520 listed on the memorial arch.
