Two attempted break-ins on same day in Tullow

GARDAÍ are appealing for witnesses after two men are believed to have attempted to break into a number of properties in the Tullow area on 20 May.

The first reported attempted break-in occurred at 10.40am at a property in Rathborn, Tullow. Two males were disturbed by the occupant of the property as they attempted to gain entry to the house by forcing a rear window. After the men were disturbed, they fled the scene. One man was dressed in blue and the other was wearing a grey hoodie that was pulled around his face.

The other attempted break-in occurred at 11am in Tobinstown. A number of males are reported to have attempted to force entry through a rear patio door but were disturbed when a resident shouted out to them. The men then fled the scene.

Gardaí are trying to ascertain what type of vehicle the men were driving, as the break-ins were conducted in rural areas.
