TWENTY-three talented young musicians who received a prize in last month’s Carlow College of Music festival performed an outstanding evening concert in aid of Carlow National School, Green Road on Friday 4 April.

Following on from their success at the 12th Carlow College of Music Festival, the group of young performers delivered a spectacular set of solo and group performances at the concert in St Mary’s Church.

A special guest performance of Micheál O’Suilleabhain’s Oiche Nollag by Carlow Youth Orchestra with support from John Gladney on bodhrán and Brian Kehoe on piano was also heard.

All proceeds from the concert and raffle ticket sales were donated by Carlow College of Music to Carlow National School, Green Road.
