When aspiring singer Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a crime, she’s forced into hiding in the most unexpected of places, a convent. Struggling to fit into a world of discipline and devotion, she soon discovers the power of music and friendship. With her bold personality and unstoppable talent, she transforms the struggling choir, bringing new life to the convent and the community. But as her past catches up with her, Deloris must rely on her newfound sisterhood to stand strong.
