New houses to be allocated within ‘two to three weeks’

ASSURANCES have been given that the new residents of Ballyknockan Manor, Leighlinbridge will be given the keys to their new homes within “two to three weeks”.

Cllr Daniel Pender asked when the houses at Ballyknockan would be allocated, adding that the situation had been “going on weeks and nothing happening”.

Acting director of services Fiona O’Neill said the council is expected to sign the final contract in the coming days. She confirmed that the date to receive the keys would “hopefully be shortly – in the next two to three weeks”.

“We can’t get the keys until that is signed, but it is all coming together,” she said.
