The Irish Times reports Garda suspensions more than doubled last year, rebounding close to record levels, with a growing number of members now suspended after allegations of gender-based violence.
The Irish Examiner reports that more than 38,000 crimes were committed last year by people out on bail, including 84 linked to murder, attempted murder, or murder threats.
The Echo reports that the number of submissions in support of Blackpool’s long-awaited €20.5 million flood relief scheme outnumber those opposed by 10 to one.
