The 2 Johnnies release limited edition jersey in aid of Children's Health Foundation

The 2 Johnnies have announced the release of a limited edition jersey designed by Johnny Smacks in aid of Children's Health Foundation (CHF).

It comes in advance of the pair's Big Big Family show on Easter Monday, April 6th, in the 3Arena in Dublin, also in aid of CHF.

It comes after Johnny Smacks' son JJ was treated in hospital in Crumlin for a few months after he was born.

The Tipperary duo and their band, The Junior B All Stars, are to take the stage for the family show, kicking off at 3pm.

Some special guests on the day include Garron Noone and Marty Mone.

All proceeds from the show will be donated to CHF, as will all proceeds from the limited edition jersey sale.

"I know first-hand the unbelievable work the nurses, doctors and staff do every single day. The care they give to families is something you never forget," Johnny Smacks said.

"That’s why this kids’ show in aid of Children’s Health Ireland means so much to me. It’s going to be a great day out with plenty of laughs and fun for the young kids, but the big thing is raising funds for an incredible cause.

"We can’t wait to see loads of families there having a class time. Also, thanks so much to everybody who sold out the 3 Arena, as always, the support is amazing, we’re gonna blow the roof off the place and raise a few bob all at the same time," he said.

Fionnuala O'Leary, chief executive at Children's Health Foundation said they are "incredibly grateful" for The 2 Johnnies support.

"Their generosity in donating all the proceeds from this very special Easter Monday show is truly remarkable and will have a significant impact on sick children and their families."

Fans have been advised that if they were not able to procure a ticket for the 3Arena show, and do not want to buy a jersey, but want to donate, they can do so via the donate button on The 2 Johnnies website.
