Gardaí appeal for witnesses after woman sustains serious injuries in collision with lorry

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a collision between a pedestrian and lorry in Co Donegal left a woman with serious injuries.

The collision occurred in at Station Roundabout, Port Road, Letterkenny, shortly after 3pm on Friday.

The pedestrian, a woman (40s), was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

A technical examination of the scene was carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and the road has since reopened.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage and were travelling in the area between 2:15pm and 3:15pm on Friday are asked to make this available to investigating gardaí.
