MYSHALL Garden Club enjoyed a wonderful, special evening for its final garden visit of the season.

The club visited the garden of Margaret and Michael Whelan in Myshall, with proceeds from the outing going to the very worthy cause of  Éist Cancer Support Services.

Thanks to the generosity of all who attended, Éist will benefit by more than €1,500. The club would like to sincerely thank Margaret and Michael for hosted the visit, Nuala Quirke, Agnes Smithers and their family members, who ensured their mother’s memory was kept alive on what was the late Joan Smithers’s 90th birthday.

There were lots of delicious cakes and refreshments for everyone to enjoy after the garden tour.

The club would also like to thank Altamont Gardens and Tirlán, who donated raffle prizes, and to Margaret herself for the beautiful flower arrangements she made for the raffle.

The members would like to also thank each and every person who came to the garden tour, brought raffle prizes, bought raffle tickets and donated so generously to Éist.

Some people were unable to attend, but kindly sent donations, helping bringing the total raised to an impressive €1,500.

Lorna McGrath service manager of Éist Cancer Support Services thanked Myshall Garden Club for their support and also to all who supported the event so generously.
