A Harvest Moon Gala Ball held to raise funds for Kilkea National School was a “resounding success”, according to organisers.

The school’s parent association held the ball to garner funds to build an additional classroom for the school.

The local community came out in full support on Saturday 5 October for a special fundraising event.

Another ball, the Winter Wonderland, was held last December which launched their fundraising efforts.

The school’s organisers explained that the event was a “wonderful display of community spirit, with families, local businesses and individuals stepping up to contribute”.

The fabulous banqueting room at Kilkea Castle was gifted to the school for the evening by the owners of the estate, the Cashman family. Goody bags, given to every guest on the night were sponsored by The Publicity Loft - PR Agency, while spot prizes and raffle donations added to the excitement and generosity of the night.

“An autumnal tree, a beacon of growth and transformation, adorned with unique decorations crafted by the school’s gifted children, graced the lobby as a heartfelt tribute to all who generously supported the fundraiser. This extraordinary event highlighted the seamless cooperation of our students, teachers, parents, and the local community,” the organisers added.

Fantastic music was provided by the renowned band Vegas Nights.
