Glór Cheatharlach wins award for promoting the Irish language

THE results of the Glór na nGael Awards for 2023 for promotion of the Irish language in the community were announced at a gala ceremony in Croke Park Convention Centre recently.

Carlow was among the winners and representatives of Glór Cheatharlach were in attendance.

Carlow received a special award as well as a cash prize of €1,500 in recognition of the efforts of Glór Cheatharlach, with the Gradaim in Business Scheme to promote Irish and bilingual signage in business as well as providing a service ‘as Gaeilge’ or bilingual to the public.

Congratulations to all businesses who participated in Gradaim ’23, including Café Lamberts, Touchpoint Media, Café Waterlilies, The Irishman’s, Eimear.ie and Teanga Mhilis.
