Gardaí appeal for information following Sunday's shooting while counselling service is extended

GARDAÍ in Carlow town have issued an appeal for information following the shooting incident that occurred on Sunday evening in the Fairgreen Shopping Centre.
Superintendent Anthony contacted The Nationalist to issue an appeal for information from anyone who was in the shopping centre or the car park on Sunday from 6pm to 6.30pm.
“As part of the investigation process, An Garda Siochána wish to speak to anyone who was in the Fairgreen Shopping Centre or the car park between 6pm and 6.30pm on Sunday in connection with a serious shooting incident. Whether people observed anything of relevance or not, please contact An Garda Siochána, Carlow on 059 9136620,” said Supt Farrell.
To help people deal with what they witnessed or experienced during or at the aftermath of the shooting, the HSE is continuing to offer support to the community.
For the rest of the week, HSE Dublin and South East psychology staff will again be available in the Carlow Primary Care Centre (Shamrock Plaza, R93 T8Y6) between 9am and 5pm.
