Suspended sentence for sale or supply

Carlow Courthouse
A GRAIGUECULLEN resident last week received a suspended sentence and was ordered to be of good behaviour in relation to a charge of possessing drugs for sale or supply. Cameron Corcoran, 10 Tommy Murphy Park, Graiguecullen was sentenced in relation to possessing drugs and to possessing drugs for sale or supply at that address on 29 June 2023.
The case had been heard in a previous court sitting, when the facts were proven against Mr Corcoran, with Judge Geraldine Carthy adjourning finalisation for preparation of a probation report. Last week, Judge Carthy said it was a positive report and that the 23-year-old defendant hadn’t come to garda attention since the incident.
She then sentenced him to eight months’ imprisonment, but suspended it in total for 18 months. She ordered him to be of good behaviour, to be intoxicant-free and to engage with the Probation Service.
