Man admits to drug dealing after search

The court heard 34 bags of cannabis was found by gardaí
A CARLOW man has admitted to possession of drugs for sale and supply following a search at his home last June. Morgan Deane, Ballinvalley, Kildavin, Co Carlow appeared before the local district court recently.
The court heard that on 21 June 2024, Garda Moulton executed a search warrant under the
at the defendant’s address.During the search, gardaí discovered 34 bags of cannabis with a value of €2,380.
The court was told that the 25-year-old made a full admission to possession of drugs for sale and supply.
Mr Deane has previous convictions related to road traffic matters, with the most recent dating back to 11 June 2024, for speeding and failing to pay a €250 fine.
Judge Geraldine Carthy requested a probation report to be prepared on the matter for a deadline of mid-May.
