A GRAIGUECULLEN man pleaded guilty in Carlow Circuit Court last week to three counts of assault causing harm during a single incident, while his son is contesting similar charges arising from the same incident.

Sixty-year-old Michael Slater of 11 Heather Hill Square, Graiguecullen was arraigned in Carlow Circuit Court before Judge Eugene O’Kelly last week and pleaded guilty to assaulting three people, causing them harm at that address on 23 April 2024.

His son, also called Michael Slater (35), has pleaded not guilty to the same offences arising from the same incident.

The cases for both defendants were adjourned until the next sitting of Carlow Circuit Court on 20 May.
