The comic, 53, appeared on screen while BBC North West Tonight’s Molly Brewer was delivering the forecast.

Omar Majed, of Washwood Heath, Birmingham, was remanded in custody and will appear before magistrates in the West Midlands city on May 4th, police said.

Police said a 19-year-old man is being held in custody.

The case is due back before the court for mention in April when a new date for mention will be scheduled
