Tinahely Show promises a fabulous day out

THE very best of rural Ireland will be showcased and celebrated when the Tinahely Agricultural Show takes place on the August Bank Holiday weekend.
The Tinahely show is in the top three agricultural shows in the country, featuring hundreds of competitions and attractions, lots of entertainment and plenty of refreshments. It’s a fantastic family day out, as the 20,000 annual visitors would confirm.

“The show committee would like to thank all of our trade stands, local businesses, sponsors, and our wonderful community of volunteers who have shown such unwavering support through the years,” said chairperson Margaret Healy. "We are looking forward to welcoming them back in 2024. The Tinahely Show is a fun day out for the whole family, with attractions and entertainment galore throughout the day for young and old.”
Highlights of the 2024 Tinahely Show include:
Wicklow’s celebrity chef, Catherine Fulvio, will be on the Wicklow Naturally stage sharing some of her amazing recipes using locally-sourced ingredients.
Country music star Olivia Douglas and her band will headline a fantastic musical line-up. Known for her song
, Olivia will perform alongside such singers as Jack Keogh, Theresa and The Stars, and Alistair Fingleton.
The show will also feature all the usual attractions that provide the unique blend of agricultural competitions, entertainment, crafts, novelty events and amusements for all the family.
The livestock competitions include the FBD Belgian Blue Finals, the Zurich Commercial Cattle Finals, Tirlán Dairy Finals and the Redmills Horse Championships.
There will be a dog show, sheep dog trials, pony games and showjumping, and a pets’ corner.
In short, there’ll be something for everyone in the family!
The show takes place on Monday 5 August in Tinahely.
