Full clearance of stock at Leinster Marts Carlow busy spring sale

THE ANNUAL spring cattle show and sale was held at Leinster Marts Carlow recently with an absolutely superb sale and a full clearance of all stock.
A total of 520 top-quality cattle were on show, with prices for 600kg upwards ranging from €3.30 to €4.15/kg.
Some sample prices among the bullocks were: 760kg, €3,090; 745kg, €3,000; 680kg, €2,830 and 590kg, €2,380.
Sample prices among the heifers were: 525kg, €1,820 and 555kg, €1,750.
Store heifers and bullocks freely made €3.30 to €4/kg, while a stunning calf trade saw the best of Hereford bulls making up to €500.
