Gorey-based auctioneers Quinn Property will be hosting another online auction on October 9 next.
The 37-acre farm in question is located in County Carlow, in the townland of Rathanna, 7km from Borris, 2km from Rahanna village, and 20km from Carlow. The picturesque village of Rathanna is located at the base of Mount Leinster, surrounded by the Blackstairs Mountains.
“The land is laid out in a number of divisions,” says selling agent David Quinn. “It’s of good quality and it would be suited to a variety of agricultural uses. It enjoys extensive road frontage. The lands are mainly in grass, while also benefitting from wooded areas.” The existence of a derelict farmhouse on site with the possibility of the vacant home grant, adds another valuable dimension to the property, which will be presented in the following lots: Lot 1 is 10.2 acres; Lot 2 has 19.3 acres with derelict farmhouse and prior planning for a new residence; Lot 3 is 7.4 acres of land; Lot 4 is the entire holding.
With an overall price expectation of €10,000/acre, it’s a sale that will attract a wide variety of interest.
