Bohemians saw off basement side Cork City 3-0 at Dalymount Park, closing the gap on league leaders Shamrock Rovers to seven points.

Douglas James Taylor was at the double for Bohs either side of half time, before Dawson Devoy made sure of the points in the 94th minute, leaving Cork City 10 points adrift at the bottom of the table.

St Patrick’s Athletic left it late to take all three points against Drogheda United in Sullivan and Lambe Park. Centre back Luke Turner got a last-gasp goal in stoppage time after an error from Drogheda's keeper Luke Dennison to seal a 1-0 win for the Saints and keep their European hopes for next season alive.

Owen Elding scored his 10th league goal of the season as Sligo Rovers also staged a late comeback against Waterford at the RSC.

Conan Noonan had opened the scoring for the home side before half time, but Jad Hakiki levelled the score ahead of Elding's late winner at 87 minutes, giving the Bit O'Red a 2-1 win and three points with it.

There was more late drama in Eamon Deacy Park as Derry City came from behind to beat Galway United 2-1.

Jimmy Keohane got the Tribesmen off the mark, but Dipo Akinyemi got the Candystripes back on level terms on the cusp of the interval.

Derry played the final few minutes with 10 men as Jamie Stott was shown his second yellow card in 85 minutes, before Adam O’Reilly popped up with the winner in stoppage time.

That result leaves Galway in a precarious position, with their defeat coupled with a win for Sligo Rovers leaving them just a point above the relegation zone.

In the First Division, it finished Cobh Ramblers 2, UCD 2; Finn Harps 2. Athlone Town 1; Kerry 1, Longford Town 0; Treaty United nil, Dundalk 7; and Wexford nil, Bray Wanderers 1.

Meanwhile, Lincoln City have reportedly made a bid for Shamrock Rovers defender Josh Honohan.

The Irish Independent has reported that the League One side has tabled an offer of €400,000 for the full-back.

Lincoln previously signed midfielder Danny Mandriou from Shamrock Rovers in 2022, and he returned to the Hoops midway through last season.
