James Hogan will represent Carlow in Macra Mr Personality contest

James Hogan from Rathrush, representing Carlow

RATHRUSH native and Tullow Macra member James Hogan will represent Carlow at the annual Mr Personality Festival in Langton’s Hotel, Kilkenny on 10-11 April.

James (18) is an active member of Tullow Macra and, as well as his interest in agriculture, he is also a keen hurler and footballer. He believes he will be a strong representative for Carlow, given his enthusiasm about the benefits that Macra offers young people.

A jam-packed weekend awaits James and his fellow contestants, with the festival kicking off at lunchtime on Friday before the on-stage interviews – one of the highlights of the competition every year – start at 7pm in the ballroom in Langton’s.

The interviews will be conducted by MC for the weekend Aindriú de Paor of RTÉ 2FM, followed by music by The Deere Johns and a DJ, who will keep things rocking long into the night.

James will be aiming to impress the festival’s three judges: 2025 Rose of Tralee Katelyn Cummins, influencer James Kavanagh and UCD’s Brian Leonard.

The following day will see James face a private interview with the three judges before taking part in further challenges.

The festival culminates on Saturday evening with the official banquet beginning at 7pm and the official announcement of ‘Mr Personality’ will take place at midnight.

Tickets for the weekend are on sale and can be bought online. Full details and all the necessary links are available on Mr Personality Festival socials and further information can be obtained by contacting Michael Lawler on 085 2314535 or Áine Walton 086 0892032.
