Communities urged to apply for biodiversity grants

MINISTER Malcolm Noonan was in Myshall, Co Carlow recently to view the positive outcomes that can be achieve through a local biodiversity grant. While there, he met members of Myshall Muintir na Tíre, which is implementing a local biodiversity action plan.
A wildlife and nature call to action from Community Foundation Ireland and National Parks and Wildlife Service has been issued to communities to apply for local biodiversity grants.
More than €500,000 in grants for local biodiversity action plans is being made available through a partnership between philanthropy and government.
