US actress Sydney Sweeney told fellow star Tom Cruise to “watch out” after strapping herself to one of the wings of an airplane.
The 28-year-old shared a video to Instagram on Monday as she pulled off a daring wing-walking stunt, similar to the feat completed by Cruise for 2025 action film Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.
The footage shows the Euphoria star holding a camera and strapped to the wing of a plane, balancing as it repeatedly flips upside down while being suspended in the air.
Sweeney was wearing a red safety vest and protective goggles in the video, which was set to Spitting Off The Edge Of The World by rock band Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Perfume Genius.
Beneath the post, shared with her nearly 26 million followers, Sweeney wrote: “Watch out Tom Cruise.”
The actress is seemingly referencing his stunt from the espionage film where Cruise, who is renowned for performing his own stunts in films, wing-walked on an antique biplane.
Cruise has completed other airplane stunts – including hanging from the outside of a heavy cargo plane as it taxied, took off and climbed to 5,000ft for Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.
The Hollywood actor, 64, also starred as naval aviator Lieutenant Pete “Maverick” Mitchell in the Top Gun film series and is a licensed pilot who underwent intensive flight training for its 2022 sequel.
US actress Leslie Mann was among the stars who commented on Sweeney’s post, urging her to “be careful”, while the official Top Gun account wrote: “Feel the need for speed.”

Sweeney is best known for her role in Euphoria, which made her a star, and has since appeared in films including Once Upon A Time In Hollywood (2019), Anyone But You (2023) and The Housemaid (2025).
The star was previously engaged to businessman Jonathan Davino, whom she dated for seven years, and the two split up in 2025.
Sweeney has since publicly confirmed her relationship with former talent manager Scooter Braun following almost a year of speculation, and went “Instagram official” with a post together in April.
Braun is best known for helping launch pop star Justin Bieber to fame and has worked with stars including Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato and Kanye West, but retired from music management in 2024.
He was previously married to health activist Yael Cohen and they have three children together, but they split up in 2022.
